Injured Bears

Chicago Bears won the Pro Bowl in 2005 but this year could miss the rest of the season due to a severe injury to a tendon. On Sunday, Harris had to leave the game against Minnesota in the third quarter. It was reported that the reason was a sprained left knee. Bears coach Lovie Smith said the next day that the injury was not considered finalizadota season.

However, the coach announced Thursday that the tendon injury was more severe than the knee sprain that Harris needed to go to Dallas to see a specialist. He further stated that the DT could lose all four games remaining in the regular season and possibly end well. Chicago Bears secured the NFC North on Sunday. Harris was not in the list to play on Monday night against Saint Louis Rams but apparently the coach did not know at that moment how bad the situation was. When they realized that they were two separate injuries and how delicate was the other, the announcement was made. Harris is known for his speed and strength. He was chosen in the first round of the 2004 season, has five sacks this season and 11 for his career. Apparently, the Chicago Bears are considering Ian Scott, Antonio Garay and Alfonso Boone as reinforcements.
